I don’t really know what’s wrong with the world anymore.
I mean, I’m someone who looks at the world on a daily basis. I take in all the insanity and try to boil it down for human consumption. My entire job revolves around comprehending what is taking place at a given moment and to try to figure out just why that is.
The problem, though, is that I look at a glimpse of the world and can figure it out from there, but our world is broken. Horribly, horribly broken.
I woke up this morning, ready for another day. I met it with my usual mixture of trepidation an readiness. I’m not really a morning person, after all, I just fake it really well by getting up insanely early so no one sees the worst of it.
But today, “the worst of it” met me straight in the face.
Overnight, there was a mass shooting in California. At least 12 people are reported dead, including the gunman and a police officer who responded to the incident.

The two incidents together–though they’re not related in any way–remind us that the world is going nuts and it’s up to you to get ready for it.
Now, I get a guy being upset at someone flirting with his girl. Assuming he knew she was involved with someone, it’s a mark of disrespect for another man to flirt with someone else’s girlfriend, and I applaud this young man for recognizing that and refusing to play submissive in such a circumstance.

Men were warriors.
As time passed, this idea faded. As numbers grew, it became less and less important for all men to be warriors and, instead, the responsibility was handed to a select group who prepared for war full-time. However, in many of these eras, men still had to
However, in many of these eras, men still had to step up and prepare for battle at least some of the team. Militias were formed to supplement the full-time warriors, which meant at least some had to have a warrior mindset in addition to their duties as farmers, potters, carpenters, etc. Continue reading “Cultivating The Warrior Mind”
